NHHEAF gives students the opportunity to take it to the bank

The NHHEAF Network Organizations launched the second round of the “Take it to the Bank Scholarship Giveaway,” awarding New Hampshire students with $1,000 in college scholarships. One winner will be chosen each month from January through October. To apply for the scholarship, students should visit nhheaf.org/take_it_to_the_bank.asp.

Elizabeth Ireland, a resident of Concord, was the November winner. Elizabeth is a freshman at the New Hampshire Institute or Art, majoring in painting. “I love learning about art and I am truly enjoying my experience at NHIA.” She enjoys the opportunity to attend classes and meet other students who are as passionate about art as she has become over the years. She learned about the scholarship opportunity from a faculty member and was encouraged to enter. “I am so happy I won, it means a lot to receive the funding to help pay my tuition.”

Other past winners include Kaylee Nason of Keene; Kevin Kopetz, a senior at Pinkerton Academy in Derry and Samantha Hamel of Gilmanton.

The NHHEAF Network Organization provides students and parents the support needed to fulfill higher education goals by offering affordable student loan options and free college planning advice. The organization’s Center for College Planning offers free webinars, materials and hosts a college planning event for high school juniors. For more information, visit nhstudentloans.org.
