Need employees?

Businesses seeking skilled and qualified employees are invited to take part in the Central N.H. Youth Career Expo and Job Fair, scheduled for April 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Guard State Armory, 4 Pembroke Road.

This job fair, developed by the State of N.H. Governor's Commission on Disability in coordination with the N.H. Department of Education Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Central N.H. School to Career Council, N.H. Business Resource Center, N.H. Division of Personnel, N.H. Employment Security, N.H. Department of Health and Human Services, N.H. Employment Program, Statewide Independent Living Council and the Workforce Opportunity Council, is designed to educate local high school students on possible career options and assist workers with and without disabilities to secure employment with local companies.

Employers interested in participating will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses and to meet with hundreds of potential new employees and talk with local high school students about career opportunities within their industry and get a head start in recruiting the next generation.

Businesses interested in taking part in the fair may bring display materials, tabletop booths and applications – tables and chairs will be provided, as well as power. Applicants will be prepared to fill out job applications on site. Participation in the fair is free, and a light lunch will be provided to all company representatives in attendance.

To participate, please contact Jim Hinson by April 20 at 271-7093 or jhinson@ed.state.nh.us.
