The Bow Mills United Methodist Women will hold its annual Mother, Daughter, and Friends night on May 17. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with entertainment by the D'Accord Barbershop Quartet. Lead singer Walt Griffin, tenor Joe Hayden, baritone Rick Mitchell and bass Paul Parnass will bring music to their show from every era, which also includes “sweet old songs” for the evening.
Following the entertainment, everyone will have the opportunity to eat a “Summer Salad Days” meal and dessert. The United Methodist Men will be hosting this event. Price: $8 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Free under 6 years of age. Call 228-1154 no later than May 13 to make reservations.
