Mahogany, birch and chestnut chair

article tools

This mahogany, birch and chestnut chair, made by Concord furniture designers William Low and Benjamin Damon, was part of a set of 176 chairs purchased by the state to furnish the recently completed State House in 1819.

Not too shabby, but we’re sure our reps have comfier chairs now.
