Local high school students meet new Best Buddies on trip to Indiana

Eighteen delegates, including 13 high school and college students from New Hampshire attended the Best Buddies International Leadership Conference this month at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. And guess what? Concord-area schools were well represented, with Hannah Bourdeau of Concord High School, Cheyenne Boucher of Pembroke Academy and Tucker Johnson of Bow High School making the trek. New Hampshire is the 23rd state to open an office of Best Buddies and the newest state attending the conference. Delegates met with others representing 50 countries during the four-day event to learn how to be Best Buddies advocates and bring about social change in their communities.
