Human Resources Assoc. to hold meeting Dec. 18

The members of the Human Resources Association of Greater Concord (HRAGC) will hold their monthly meeting at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, in the Maine Room at Two Delta Drive in Concord.

The program for this meeting, entitled “Talking about the Dog: How to Add Effective Storytelling to Your Presentations,” will provide participants with strategies, tips and techniques from storytelling that are sure to engage an audience.

“Audience engagement is critical for anyone looking to educate or persuade,” said Michael Charney, Principal Consultant at Charney Coaching & Consulting and presenter for the meeting. “We all love stories, and so it makes sense to look at ways to add stories into our business environments.

“We have effectively used storytelling techniques with sales groups, product engineers and others,” Charney said. “Our goal now is to introduce the concepts through HR training and development groups, which can then incorporate the principles into development programs across an organization.”

The meeting will also include updates highlighting current human resource and organizational legal issues.
