Hooray for people like Bob and Sharon Cholette!

Bob and Sharon Cholette of Laconia were recently recognized for their volunteer service supporting the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Cholettes received the “Doug and Stella Scamman Award” prior to the Sunday evening performance of “José Feliciano” at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.

Joyce Meisel, board chair of the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, praised the couple for their service and presented them with an engraved, cut crystal vase.

Bob Cholette served on the association’s board of directors for nine years and most recently served as board chair the last two years. Sharon was nominated to the board this November and has served as chair for the association’s special events committee and developed the first annual Spooky Silent Auction, which recently celebrated its third successful year. Over 400 people attended the benefit concert. Proceeds will support the programs and services of the New Hampshire Association for the Blind.
