The very best of New Hampshire high school filmmaking will be shown at the New Hampshire High School Short Film Festival on May 23 at Red River Theatres in Concord. Now in its eighth year, the festival is presented by the New Hampshire Film & Television Office and has become one of the marquee film festivals in the state.
Twenty-five films, produced by students at 12 high schools and one homeschooled student, will be shown at this year’s festival. A wide variety of film genres are represented, including documentary, drama, animation, comedy and experimental film.
Awards include Jury Award Winner for Best Film of the Festival, Jury Award Runner-up, three Jury Award Finalists and Public Service Announcement Award. Award-winning films will be screened at the New Hampshire Film Festival in Portsmouth and the SNOB (Somewhat North of Boston) Film Festival in Concord.
