Friends of the Audi to hold meeting Sunday

What an anniversary year! The city of Concord is 250, Concord City Auditorium is 110 and the Friends of the Audi turn 25.

It’s all being celebrated on Sunday, July 12, as the Friends of the Audi hold their annual meeting and start, deliciously, with a true pot luck supper at 6 p.m. in the Audi’s reception lobby.

Everyone is welcome at the event, which reviews the past season, plans for the upcoming 2015-16 season and honors the community’s contributions to the theatre, naming Friend of the Year and Golden Pineapple recipients.

The Friends of The Audi is an umbrella over all the theatre’s users – presenters, producers, performers and audience. It is a non-profit all-volunteer organization, working in partnership with the city of Concord to preserve and maintain the historic municipal stage and to foster its affordable and accessible use for the benefit of all the people of our community. It’s Concord’s own “arts park.”

On the same day, the Concord Community Concert Association will hold its 85th annual meeting, welcoming all who enjoy great professional concerts, at 4 p.m. Then join the Friends’ pot luck at 6.
