Donations sought for Keach Park flagpole

The Concord -Pineconia Grange #322 is spearheading an effort to raise funds to replace a flagpole that used to be at the Keach Park (formerly Heights Park), Newton Avenue.

The Grange needs to raise $1,000 in addition to the $1,200 that has already been raised. The Grange is hoping to dedicate the flagpole at a community event featuring Nevers’ Band, Splash Bash, an ice cream social, and more events being planned for July 22 at Keach Park.

The Grange is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, being organized on May 11, 1914. The Grange will also be organizing the 63rd annual Christmas Parade with the first pision dedicated to our Armed Forces on Nov. 22. The 28th annual Concord Christmas Tree Lighting also coordinated by the Grange will complete the 100 year celebration.

The Grange is a non profit, family organization dedicated to agriculture but pursuing an active community service program.

Those wishing to donate may send a check or money order, made to Concord Grange Flagpole Fund, c/o Dick Patten, 30 Pinewood Trail, Concord, NH 03301.
