Baseball clinic for kids to benefit CHAD

Fred's Fund a nonprofit organization for CHAD (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock) is hosting a youth baseball pitching and hitting clinic on Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic will be held at the Concord Sports Center, 2 Whitney Road.

Special guest instructors will include Ken Joyce, hitting coach and instructor for the Toronto Blue Jays; Mike MacDonald, pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels and Simon Williams, outfielder for the Kalamazoo Kings and prior member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Miss New Hampshire Outstanding Teen Katrina Rossi will be there throughout the day and Gov. John Lynch is hoping to make an appearance. A raffle will be conducted at the clinic for a pair of Red Sox tickets for the 2010 season and other great prizes.

The clinic is open to both boys and girls ages 7 to 16. The cost to attend is $30. All proceeds from the clinic will be given to Fred's Fund for CHAD.
