This giant fluorescent marlin keeps watch over the captain’s tables in the upstairs dining room of a downtown Concord establishment that when you walk in, it’s safe to assume that everybody knows your name. And if they don’t, they sure will be glad you came. TIM GOODWIN / Insider staff

We’re so happy that Alaina and Sean are so in love. Hopefully they find a nice little house like the one drawn on the chalkboard with the cute kitty at a restaurant that is downstairs in a square. This rather large fish tank welcomes you to a Manchester Street restaurant where it isn’t out of the ordinary to see food flying through the air around your table. Don’t worry, though, it’s not an all-out food fight, but rather trained chefs doing their job. TIM GOODWIN / Insider staff

No, this place is a hot spot for bands, dart tournaments, rotating craft beer and one of our favorites – a bowl of bacon. If you’re in the neighborhood, you should definitely stop by.
