Adults: We want your lists

Why should kids get to have all the fun around the holidays? After all, it’s the grown-ups who do all the hard work, right?

Luckily, we here at the Insider know full well that adults like to have fun, too. That’s why we’re opening up our inboxes for some adult letters to Santa.

Now before your imaginations get carried away, let’s go over a couple of things first. By “adult,” we don’t mean “adult” as in the film genre – let’s try to keep these things family-friendly. We also don’t want to see anything overtly political, religious or mean-spirited – no asking Santa to give your boss a case of the flu or anything.

With all of that being said, we do want to see some creativity. Go ahead and have some fun with this – when was the last time you wrote a letter to Santa, anyway?

The ad right below this story tells you how your kids can submit letters to the Monitor, which will then be printed and forwarded on to the big guy up north. Since we Insiders couldn’t be bothered with creating an ad, we’re just telling you what to do right here in this space. Plus, it helps fill a page on a really short week!

The first thing you should do is think hard about what you want to say in your letter. This could be your one and only shot to make sure Saint Nick knows what you want, so don’t blow it.

Once you’ve thought it all out, go ahead and write it up. It can be in purely list form or complete sentence/paragraph form, whichever you feel lets you best get your point across.

Once you finish, send us the letters at news@theconcordinsider.com. If you’re feeling old-school, you can also snail-mail us at the mailing address in the ad below, just change Concord Monitor to Concord Insider – wouldn’t want these to end up in the wrong hands.

Like the ad says, please include your name, town and age in the letter.

While the Monitor will run the children’s letters between Dec. 2 and Dec. 12, we, the Insider, will publish the adult ones we get in our Dec. 20 issue, just in time for The Jolly One to check them out before he loads up his sleigh (of course Santa always reads the Insider cover to cover).

Now get busy, and remember – he knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.
