Since 1993, more than 12 million walkers have raised more than $750 million in the first against breast cancer.

And Concord’s walk is holding up its end of the bargain.

Each year, nearly 300 events are held across the United States, bringing in more than $60 million.

And of those almost 300 walks, Concord is the highest per capita Making Strides event in the United States!

According to National Making Strides Against Breast Cancer per capita fundraising data from the American Cancer Society, the average per capita nationwide is 19 cents. In New England, it goes up to 40 cents and in New Hampshire, it’s a little more at 87 cents.

But when it comes to Concord, this event brings in a whopping $3.14 per capita.

Since the first walk in 1993, more than $7 million has been raised in Concord alone, including last year’s making strides against breast cancer walk that welcomed nearly 5,000 participants and raised more than $466,870.
