Harry Potter to make his return at Gibson’s

—

Happy Birthday, Harry Potter!

It has been nine years since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and we’ve sorely missed doing Harry Potter release parties. We couldn’t resist celebrating for the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the long awaited continuation of Harry Potter’s story!

Join Gibson’s Bookstore on Sunday at 2 p.m. for a cold reading of the first scene from the West End stage play, written by Jack Thorne and based on a story by author J. K. Rowling, Thorne and director John Tiffany.

We’ll have magical treats (it is Harry’s 36th birthday, after all), and activities, too.

Let the sorting hat sort you out and proudly wear your house badge. Choose your wand! (Or rather, your wand chooses you.) Capture creatures at the coloring pages of magical beasts. And come in costume and take a photo at our living portrait photo booth, too.

Potions classes will be held at noon and 12:30 p.m., but the whole event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
