It’s time to vote for the Cappies

If you haven’t had a chance to vote in the Capital Area People’s Preference Awards, otherwise and more famously known as the Cappies, you better do it soon.

Voting, which began on April 1 (no joke), only runs through the end of the month. That means if you’re reading this on Tuesday, you’ve got five days, so sit down and ponder your answers for a little while, but if this is your leisurely Saturday reading, you might want to hop online – like right now. Polls close at midnight.

For those of you who don’t know, the Cappies are a chance for you to vote for you favorite Capital Area businesses for the prestigious claim to be named best, well, in what they do.

There are 91 questions spanning five categories, including food, living, healthy and beauty, shopping and for fun. Who doesn’t like fun?

You can help decide the best after-work hang out, florist, fitness center, place to get married and cheap eats. And that’s just one question from each category. Think of all the other important decisions you can help make.

Like we said, there’s only a few days left so make sure to do your civic duty and get online to vote. It’s the right thing to do, but unfortunately you won’t get one of those cool ‘I voted’ stickers.

You can visit concordmonitor.com/cappies2016 or click on the link found on theconcordinsider.com to vote.

Now what are you waiting for?
