After a slight hiatus, we’ve decided to make a grand return

We know that every Tuesday is kind of a big deal for you.

Not just because of $2 tacos, although we do really love our pork and chicken creations quite a bit, but because it’s when the latest edition of the Insider is ready for public consumption.

And we now realize that excludes some of you because if you aren’t a subscriber to the Monitor in Concord or until very recently, Bow, you won’t be able to get it till Wednesday. But you know what we mean – you really like us and look forward to whatever day you can read the thousands of words that make up the Insider.

But we can only imagine there’s somewhat of a love/hate relationship with each new paper. On one hand, you get to spend a couple hours soaking in all that killer knowledge, while on the other, it also means there’s going to be a multiple-day wait before a return to an all-new Insider heaven.

Sure, over the last couple years you’ve had our column in the Monitor that ran five days a week and helped tone down the anticipation of the next issue.

We acted as personal assistants for all of you, planning out what you’d do each day/evening from Wednesday to Sunday, but you’ve probably noticed it hasn’t been in there for the last few weeks.

It’s because the column is now a thing of the past, much like Keith’s reign over Insider land. All good things must come to an end.

But like the addition of Jon to the staff, we’ve got something new in store for you. Well, it’s newish – kind of.

Instead of writing a column that will appear each day from Wednesday through Sunday, we will now have one larger column that will run on Thursdays in the A&E section.

This way, we can still plan out your weekends for you, now looking into the future four days in advance and not just one. The really good news is that you won’t have to endure another slow read for an event on Wednesday or Sunday that we didn’t really even want to write about.

Don’t get us wrong, Concord is a happening place, but there isn’t something that requires a column every day of the year. Sorry, it’s just the truth – nothing more and nothing less.

So if you’d like to see what this whole new column (which like we said, it’s more just newish) is all about, pick up Thursday’s Monitor.

We can’t really tell you much more ’cause we love surprises and can only assume all of you do as well.

Plus, if you know us at least a little bit, you know that we’ve really got nothing planned for the all-important first week and will be basically winging it the night before.

Happy reading!
