Child and family center art show April 11

As warmer weather approaches, the Child and Family Development Center at NHTI prepares for its fourth annual art show and auction April 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the library on the NHTI campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

The CFDC is a non-profit organization, which provides quality professional care to children ages six weeks to 5-years-old. Opened in 2001 and located on the NHTI campus, the center is open to children of the students, faculty and staff of NHTI as well as community members.

“We simply cannot say enough about the children and parents in our program, and the wonderful artwork they create each year for this show,” says Shaunna Babcock, Director of the CFDC. “This year, we are celebrating another milestone: our five-year reaccreditation from NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It is the highest standard of accreditation for child care centers, and one that CFDC has held since 2013 when it was eligible.”

All money raised at the art show will benefit the Child and Family Development Center to purchase toys, books, supplies and other equipment for its three classrooms.
